Multiple Editions Confirmed For PC Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood

The PC version of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will not be left out when it comes to the market being flooded with alternate editions; Ubisoft has confirmed that you’ll have four ways to buy the title.
Some rather good news is that all of them are bundled with Abstergo Project Update 1.0 and 2.0 and The Da Vinci Disappearance DLC. And some even better news is that, according to a Ubisoft representative “The PC version of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood after an initial login, will be playable offline in single player mode.” Which means no pesky online DRM.
So, here we go with the various editions:
There’s the Standard Edition, which is the game plus the DLC mentioned above. Then there’s the Special Edition which apparently “comes in an exclusive Cold Foil Packaging” and in addition to the standard edition contains The Officer as a playable multiplayer character, plus “The Trajan Market” indoor single-player map.
After this, things get a bit more exotic. The Digital Deluxe Edition is, obviously, a digital only release, which will contain everything the special edition offers (except the packaging, clearly) plus a Harlequin multiplayer character, Aqueducts single-player map, “Drachen Armor” for Ezio along with the game’s soundtrack, a Making-of and short “Lineage” films.
Finally, the Codex Edition (I’m surprised they hadn’t run out of names by this point) has everything the digital deluxe edition is offering, but housed inside a fancy renaissance chest (apparently.) Plus, a 60-page book about the history of the assassins, with artwork from the game; a detailed map of Rome and collectible cards of the multiplayer characters. Crikey.
