THQ and Games Workshop agree license extension

A new “multi-year” extension to the videogame license agreement between THQ and Games Workshop has been announced today, granting THQ continued use of Warhammer 40,000 properties.
So far, this deal has resulted in titles like Relic’s Dawn of War series. Relic is also working on a thrid-person shooter; Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, while Vigil Games is heading up the MMO project Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online.

In response to the deal, THQ president Brian Farrell said “Our envisioning of the Warhammer 40,000 universe will continue to grow with top quality games across all platforms.”
