DC Universe Online announces downtime compensation

The recent troubles with PlayStation Network and Sony Online Entertainment have put DC Universe Online out of action for several days, but, like the best superheroes, the game has a plan to bounce back.
On the game’s official Facebook page, the developers have announced that “all impacted players will receive 30 days subscription credit plus one day for each day the service was unavailable.”
In addition, all affected players will also receive a free, in-game ‘Batman-inspired mask’ (pictured below).

“Please bear with us as the complexities of the subscription server dictate how and when this will be available,” the note adds.
Responses to this compensation have been somewhat mixed. Players on Lifetime subscriptions have rightly pointed out that free days are meaningless for them, and certain players have suggested that “We already have a mask that look just like this in game only better.”
