GAME to launch consumer show this year

‘Gamefest’ will open its doors to videogame consumers 16-18 September this year at the Birmingham NEC.

GAME Managing Director, Martin Gibbs, announced the new show during last night BAFTA videogame awards ceremony saying that “We promise this is not a money spinning venture,” and that the intention is to help game companies “be first to consumers”.
The timings seem to have been aimed with intent at the Eurogamer EXPO which runs 22-25 September.
Last nights BAFTAs honoured the year’s finest games, the results of which you can read here. We’ve also provided our own take on which ‘should’ have walked away champions of each category here.
