Serious Sam Gets Three Indie Spin-Offs

In the lead up to the release of Serious Sam 3, we’ll be seeing three independently developed titles with a Sam theme – thanks to Croteam’s Serious Sam Indie Series.
The Sam developers have offered some of the land’s finest indie talent the chance to make a game in the Sam universe, with the intent to “rock everything from PCs to mobile platforms to consoles.”
Three indie developers have gladly accepted the challenge, so we’ll be seeing the following games across the next few months:
Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack! (Be-Rad Entertainment) – In which players will finally get to rid the world of Serious Sam by controlling wave upon wave of Mental’s headless kamikaze warriors at the pesky hero. This one will be coming to “mobile platforms” and looks a bit like this.

Serious Sam: Double D (Mommy’s Best Games) – Next up is a “frantic” side-scroller for PC and consoles, featuring hand-drawn artwork (ooh) and a weapon stacking system claiming to be innovative. That looks a little something like this.

Serious Sam: The Random Encounter (Vlambeer) – Finally, a Sam RPG, featuring turn-based battles and collectables aplenty. You will recognise it by this visual image.

Fork Parker, chief financial officer at Sam publisher Devolver Digital says: “I’ve never heard of any of these indie clowns. Do any of these jokers make hentai games? I’m telling you guys, that weird tentacle stuff is the future of gaming.”
Quite true Mr. Parker, quite true.
