Website Reveals New Command & Conquer Title, Disappears Again

A website revealing that a brand new Command & Conquer title is in the works, developed by a new startup company called Victory Games briefly went live, before being taken down again.
The site will no doubt reappear again when EA is good and ready to share it, but for now here’s some of the information that it presented while it was up.
Victory Games features the involvement of Jon Van Caneghem, and will have offices in Los Angeles, CA; Austin, TX; and Shanghai, China. An interview from back in October suggested that Visceral would be developing the next C&C title, but either these quotes were misunderstood or the task has now shifted to Victory Games.
Whoever is making this as-yet-unnamed new C&C game, there was a quote on the temporarily-vanished site which seemed specifically designed to put PC minds at ease: “It’s a Command & Conquer game for the PC, but we’re not yet at a stage where I can go into any details – we’ll be prepared to make a more formal announcement later in the year. We’re not just working on a game, though. Our general focus is on the future of Command & Conquer. That means updating a lot of the core technology to create a stable base for future development.”
More news of this title will no doubt emerge in the near future.
