G: ‘New Games Will Boast Pixar Originality And Innovation’

New publisher The Games Consortium has told IncGamers its games will boast ‘originality and innovation’, citing ‘Pixar’ as its creative idol.
The firm, whose business model will see developers pay into the company and become part-owners of it, says it wants to concentrate on releasing original games, but won’t rule out taking on licence titles.
Speaking to IncGamers, boss Andy Payne said: “I think we will concentrate on originality, innovation and IP – I would not rule out licences down the line, provided they are appropriate, affordable and above all work for the creative talent pool we assemble.
“Pixar are a shining beacon of creating IP. If we can get just a few steps close……”
Asked when gamers can expect to see the firm’s first release, Payne replied: “Again that depends on where we are with the members and what they have up their sleeve. It could be the summer or equally towards the end of this year.”
