Retailer Rapped For Breaking Test Drive Unlimited 2 Street Date

An online retailer has been rapped for selling Atari’s Test Drive Unlimited 2 title almost two weeks before its official launch date.
Internet firm Simply Games, who admits it made a mistake, pulled the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC game from its site today after trade paper MCV was contacted by a number of irate retailers complaining the retailer had broken the game’s street date.
Simply Games director Neil Muspratt told MCV: “Online retailers often release games a day or two early to make sure titles reach customers on the day of release.
“But more than a week early is understandably frowned upon by rival sellers and publishers.”
Test Drive Unlimited 2 is scheduled for release this Friday.
