Alan Wake rumoured for PC

Delving around inside Steam’s registry is not always the most reliable way to get gaming information (sometimes stuff crops up in there that never sees the light of day), but it can often point the way to forthcoming releases. One enterprising soul has used this method to dig out possible proof of a PC edition of Alan Wake.
Of course, Alan Wake was originally intended as a PC title (a Vista launch title, I believe), but eventually only made it to the Xbox 360. Now, that platform is getting a new Wake game (Alan Wake’s American Nightmare), so perhaps developer Remedy has considered this a reasonable time to get the original onto PC as a bit of a publicity boost.
It’s also possible that this whole thing is a photoshop-based hoax but, well, you can decide for yourselves about the pictures in the source link below.
