Modern Warfare 3 supports dedicated servers

Fan demand has apparently encouraged the return of a dedicated server structure to the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Activision confirmed the news at Gamescom, and suggested that the server interface will be similar to the one found in the original Modern Warfare. This should come as welcome news to the Call of Duty PC contingent who were quite upset at the inferior alternatives offered by more recent titles in the series.
According to a twittering by Sledgehammer Games’ (who are assisting on development of the title) Glen Schofield, these dedicated servers will also be free.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in early November.
