Trion unveils first major RIFT content update

RIFT players have been keen to findout what the first update for TRION’s new MMO would include and today they have released the details.
Released last month we have been highly impressed with TRION’s new MMO and with many players already reaching the level cap, they have been looking for new and exciting challenges in the game.
The first update will include world-changing invasions from the Plane of Death, and from 30 March, Alsbeth the Discordant will be invading Telara raising a legion of enemy which will include liches, ettins, and gravemakers.
Players of all levels will be able to take part and TRION are adding hundreds of new items which will include event exclusive rewards such as a Spectral Horse and a transmogrifying disguise that turns Ascended into the rotting undead.
What’s particularly cool about these rewards is that once the event is over and the RIFTs are sealed, the items will be gone forever so you’ll need to work hard to secure them.
Also in the update comes a new raid zone called the River of Souls at the edge of the Plan of Death where players will take on Alsbeth the Discordant’s army and Alsbeth herself in a final showdown.
Watch out for an interview with TRION here on IncGamers shortly where we’ll be discussing the update with the development team.
