A novel proposal: THQ teams up with Random House

Mega-publisher of books, Random House, and mega-publisher of games, THQ, have today announced the creation of a joint team to work together creating “original intellectual properties” for publication across multiple mediums.
This appears to mean that games and books for these new IPs (or “ideas” as they were called in olden days speak,) will be developed in unison – rather than one or the other simply being a ‘tie-in’ release.
The deal also hopes to bring all of THQ’s licenses to book form, in the manner of prequel novel Homefront: The Voice of Freedom. I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to the WWE novelisation. Especially if it’s a romance.
In addition, Random House will be publishing some ‘world bibles’ for certain THQ properties. These will offer expanded backstories and detail to the worlds featured in-game.
Last week, Bethesda and Del Ray Books revealed that Rage will be getting a novel too. Should we be starting an IncGamers book club?
