The development of Assassin’s Creed 3 was hardly a secret (hell, we always knew it was a trilogy), but Ubisoft has now revealed to IncGamers that the game has been in development for over three years. By the time the game comes out later this year, that’ll be closer to four years.
Not only has the game been in production for a long time, but a lot of people have been working on it. Eight studios have lent their hands to its creation, as Assassin’s Creed IP development director, Tommy Francois, explains:
“We’ve had over three years of development and we’ve still get a few months to go. This is a Ubisoft Montreal production, but the game is being made by eight different studios across the world to support it.
“This game is much bigger than any Assassin’s game before, so we need to make sure we had enough ‘power’ behind it.”
