According to EU publisher Gameforge the AION 4.0 update will likely launch in August.
The tentative release date has been set as work on the game’s localisation continues for the German, French and English languages. Volker Boenigk, Executive Product Director for AION at Gameforge added:
“A game with a large volume of text such as AION requires an enormous localization effort, not to mention the technical requirements needed for each of the individual countries. It’s very important to us that when our players get the update, they are immediately able to play both in their native language and in the best possible quality at the same time. The necessary work towards this for 4.0 is progressing well and I’m confident that the update will be available on the European servers in August,”
Update 4.0 will include many changes and additions such as the engineer and artist class, a level increase to 65, the new zones surrounding Katalamm six new instances, new PvP fortress and base combat. As you can see there’s plenty of new content to get stuck into.
