Alan Wake’s Return is not a game

When the trademark for Alan Wake’s Return was spotted it would be natural to think that it was a filing for a new game.

Speaking to Kotaku, Remedy’s creative director Sam Lake cleared up what exactly Alan Wake’s Return is. According to Lake, the trademark pertains to the in-game live action mini episodes found in Quantum Break which stars Lake himself.

Lake clarified the filing adding “[there’s] no real news about anything future Alan Wake-related.”

It’s inevitable that another game will appear at some point and Lake goes on to say, “we are exploring possibilities and concepting different things, but lots needs to click into place for anything to happen”.

Looks like the closest thing gamers will get to anything Alan Wake related is going to be in Quantum Break.
