Assassin’s Creed 4 multiplayer trailer shows off brutal melee kills

Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag multiplayer - 2

This particular multiplayer character? A LOT meaner than he looks.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is actually looking like it might be quite good, speaking as someone who was utterly disappointed with Assassin’s Creed 3. This rather stylish multiplayer trailer has done nothing to dissuade me from my optimism.

Said multiplayer trailer shows the multiplayer characters running around, using abilities, and killing each other as ferociously as possible. Axe to the back of the head! Hook through the throat! Daggers through the chest! Point-blank range gunshot to the face! Etc. It’s rather stylish, and also rather brutal.

Said multiplayer trailer also reminds us that Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag still has no PC release date. Ubisoft, I know you’re aligning the PC version with the next-gen console versions, but come on. Throw us a bone of some sort.
