DICE and EA have announced that Battlefield 4 will be getting a Premium subscription thing. Y’know, just like Battlefield 3 Premium. Or Call of Duty: Elite.

Battlefield 4 Premium will give access to all five DLC packs (a few weeks early, in fact) as well as a bunch of other little benefits. Those expansions and their vague dates are Second Assault, China Rising (December 2013), Naval Strike (Spring 2014), Dragon’s Teeth (Summer 2014), and Final Stand (Summer 2014).

Battlefield 4 Premium will offer access to each of these two weeks before general launch, unique personalisation options, priority in server queues, mysterious new content every week, and 12 bonus Battlefield 4 Battlepacks containing camo, gun attachments, XP boosts, dog tags, and the like.

Possibly of more interest is that the Battlefield 4 beta will be starting up in early October. For three days it’ll be exclusive to those who bought Battlefield 3 Premium, Medal of Honor: Warfighter Digital Deluxe, Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition, or those who pre-ordered Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe. After those three days, DICE will host an open beta for everyone set on the Siege of Shanghai map in Conquest mode.

Battlefield 4 is due out on 29 October.
