Blizzard North were developing PS2 Diablo title for Capcom

Author David Craddock, who has written a book on the history of Blizzard North, has been discussing the book project with Diablo: IncGamers in this week’s podcast.
In the Podcast David mentions that Blizzard North was in discussions with Capcom to create a new Diablo title for the Playstation 2 following the release of Diablo 2 on the PC around 2001 to 2003.
The title was to be a unique Diablo game set in a far flung eastern continent in the world of Sanctuary incorporating eastern themes and character designs. Sadly for PS2 owners at the time, the relationship with Capcom fell through and the game was never created. What could have been.
You can listen to the full interview on Diablo: IncGamers and find further details on the book.
