Blizzard sent out survey this evening to Diablo 3 players which asks a few probing questions such as would they like a new expansion.
The Reaper of Souls expansion has certainly revitalised the game with Adventure mode and D3 Classic’s Loot 2.o but would you like to see another expansion? All indications prior to this survey release is that there’s at least one more planned.
The product slate (see image below) leaked back in 2010 (thanks DiabloWiki.Net) indicates that at least two were on the cards. The timings are now a little out of whack in the slide but it does clearly show their plans which have so far rung true.
If there was always was a second expansion planned it seems a little odd to send out a survey to ask if players want one. The survey included other questions about the franchise so perhaps they are simply gauging which direction it should take. There’s still a lot to be added to Reaper of Souls including Tiered Rift and the Diablo 3 Ladders and maybe they’re simply wanting to find out what else the community are hankering after.
I think it’s pretty safe to say we’ll see at least one more expansion from Blizzard for Diablo 3. Assuming it does happen, would you buy it?
