I’m not sure what I was expecting from this trailer for the already-available ‘Krieg the Psycho’ Borderlands 2 DLC, but it wasn’t a somewhat touching portrayal of mental illness.

As this video short reveals, Krieg is actually quite a smart, well-to-do chap. But only inside his own mind. The inner monologue strains against the rest of his body’s impulse to yell stupid things and murder people. It’s a moving tale of love, trains and violence.

Krieg is available now as an extra playable character, priced at $10.00 USD. There’s more DLC planned for the game in the form of Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, but that’s not around until 25 June.
