Older gamer will remember Bullfrog’s excellent Theme Park, but let’s face it, the game was a little on the cutesy side. Today Pantera Entertainment announced a more serious looking Theme Park sim called Theme Park Studio.

The game is essentially a theme park tool box which will gives players the chance to create the theme park of their dreams and it comes with a “robust coaster editor” to help create  vomit inducing rides.

With click and drop tools players will get the opportunity to create their own rides, or if that’s too time consuming, take advantage of pre-built rides in the editor. No theme park sim would be complete without being able to create the environments so there’s the ability to lay the parks out, plop down trees and get landscaping. Once your park is complete, open it to the public and see if they like your creations.

“It began as a project we wanted to build for the community, especially now that the future of other theme park franchises is in doubt,” says Steve Fielding, president of Pantera Entertainment. “Our idea was to integrate our tools and technology into one massively powerful theme park creator that gives fans unprecedented control of their designs and creations. We had a great engine and a sophisticated set of tools we had been using for internal development, and we love designing roller coasters and theme parks, so this was a great way to release a product that packs a real punch technologically.”

There is one pretty cool feature,  full 3D stereoscopic support which lets you experience your rides in 3D. Fire this up on a big screen, go mental with the coaster designer and you could have some pretty hairy moments.

Theme Park Studio is being Kckstarted today and they are looking for a reasonable $80.000.
