Can you really complete NFS: The Run in 2 hours? No.

You may have noticed that reviews for Need for Speed: The Run have been hitting onloine publication this morning. Our own take the game can be found here. Interestingly, a few reviews are claiming that the ‘The Run’ part of the game can be completed in a mere two hours.
However, unless you’re the finest arcade racing game player of all time (or you’re playing on the easiest difficulty) the two hour claim is completely false. Presumably, some reviewers are using the ‘Total Run Time’ number as measure of how long the game takes to complete.
Unfortunately, that’s a flawed metric as it only counts races that you’ve successfully completed. It doesn’t include the event failures that you will inevitably suffer, especially after the reach Chicago which is where the game gets rather challenging. In total The Run portoin is probably closer to four/five hours, and then there’s the Challenge Series and online modes.
If you’ve read my review of The Run then you’ll know I’m not a massive fan, but I still don’t like to see games attacked on points that are complete rubbish.
