Champions Online: Blood Moon Screenshots

The in-game event, Blood Moon, launched yesterday and, to celebrate, Cryptic Studios has released a series of screenshots of the spooky goings on.Players will battle against the armies of the Arch Lich Takofanes as he mounts an assault on the Champions Universe. Among other missions, gamers will have a chance to free the souls of 13 undead superheroes from Takofanes’ control, which will unlock the new Celestial power set focused on healing and support.Cryptic’s executive producer, Bill Roper, also had a few things to say about the launch:”We’ve been putting together some great missions in Blood Moon,” he continued, “This sort of thing is pure pleasure for us to do, and we can’t wait to see our players taking on the forces of evil.”This weekend, anyone who hasn’t tried Champions yet can now do so for free. See our earlier article for more info, but in the meantime, check out the new shots below.
