Closed Beta Announced For Warhammer 40K: DoW II Retribution

THQ has announced a closed multiplayer beta event for stand-alone Dawn of War II expansion, Retribution. It will begin on 31 January and run until 24 February.
The beta will, according to THQ, act as a stress test for the Steamworks networking and matchmaking, as well as providing useful feedback about balancing the multiplayer mode.
“Key Dawn of War community members” and global press will have access from 31 January, to be joined on 1 February by everyone who has pre-ordered Dawn of War II: Retribution. Then, on 8 February, everyone who has bought a Dawn of War game through Steam or registered a Dawn of War II title to their Steam account will receive an email invitation.
Those who’ve pre-ordered a physical copy (say, a collectors edition) and are wondering when they’ll get beta access, Retribution producer Jeff Lydell (posting as ‘EgonSpengler’) has stated that “We are working on getting physical box customers beta keys for Feb 1.”
All six races will feature in the multiplayer beta, which will run until midnight on 24 February.
