Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s eSports scene went through another evolution today, as the ESL and ESEA have teamed up to form the ESL ESEA Pro League.

ESL Managing Director Ralf Reichert shared this statement about the new collaboration:
ESL started out with Counter-Strike more than fifteen years ago. Now, many years later, we are extremely excited to be in a position where we can take the industry to the next level with the first regular US$500,000 Counter-Strike league together with ESEA.
There will be weekly online matches as well as pro league sessions worked around Valve majors.
