This week Crate Entertainment take a look at Focus items in the latest developer update for their ARPG Grim Dawn.
So what are these mysterious Focus items? They are essentially off-hand items aimed at budding sorcerers which will grant “forbidden power” to anyone that wields them. Crate also point out that these items have no defensive attributes whatsoever.

The picture above shows the two different types of Focus items which come as Tomes or ” Savage implements of forbidden arts” as Crate like to call them. There are differences however, Tomes provide flat bonuses to energy regeneration while Savage Foci offer a percent bonus. What you choose will largely depend on your weapon choices and build.
