Crusader Kings 2 on sale, gives out portraits for 5th anniversary

Somehow, I managed to forget that Crusader Kings 2 originally came out on Valentine’s Day in 2012; what a spectacularly appropriate date. Those who fell in love with it at launch will now have been playing for five whole years, and Paradox are celebrating the anniversary in various ways.

For starters there’s a free South Indian Portraits Pack, which (assuming you have Crusader Kings 2, obviously) you can grab over here. You’ll know it’s worked if it appears in your list of owned Crusader Kings 2 DLC in the Steam library.

In addition, Paradox have put the game on sale through their own store. Purchases through Paradox provide Steam keys. For those who still haven’t played the game, this is a pretty cheap way of picking it up. The base title is $10.00 USD right now, and you can get the entire Crusader Kings 2 collection (base game, plus all DLC released from launch to May 2014) for $40.00 USD. You miss out on some of the more recent expansions there, but get plenty of the good ones like Old Gods.
