Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin dated for April

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin will be launching on 2 April.

That’s good news for anyone eager to dive back into Drangleic, although we still don’t know how much of a discount there’ll be for existing PC users who might own the DLC. FromSoftware have previously stated that there will be a discount, but I’d quite like to know how much it’ll actually be. Preferably before launch.

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin is a revamped version of the game, adding in new story details, new enemy placement, graphical upgrades, more online players, all sorts of balance adjustments, all of the DLC, and more. Some of this is in a free patch, and some of it has to be paid for. It’s fantastically confusing, and we still don’t know exactly how much Scholar of the First Sin will cost, which is a bit of a concern for those who already have the game and the DLC.

There are apparently some new screenshots to go along with this date reveal, but I’m having some difficulty getting my hands on them. If and when I succeed, I’ll chuck them online.
