Fans can’t get enough of the game and Steamforge Games’ Kickstarter for the Dark Souls boardgame managed to get funded in three minutes. The campaign was looking for £50,000 and it has already surpassed 240K with 26 days still to go.

Gamers obviously want to be punished more as the game is a “strategically challenging, deeply immersive combat exploration game for 1-4 players”. The core game comes with a selection of bosses to torment players, player characters, mini-bosses and grunts.

“Dark Souls – The Board Game is much more than a classic dungeon crawler. Just like the Dark Souls video games, this is a game that requires strategic thinking, clever planning, and exemplary execution to succeed”, states the page. Sounds like a Souls game to me.

If you like the idea of playing with friends away from a screen then head over to the Kickstarter page to find out more.
