G3 Studios have released a couple of new screenshots from the forthcoming Deathfire: Ruins of Nevermore, and it’s looking rather tasty.

Deathfire is a first-person, party-based RPG with turn-based combat and a focus on story and character development, which makes it sound rather like a classic CRPG to me. Perhaps not a surprise considering that G3 Studios is headed up by Guido Henkel, a veteran developer who previously worked on little bits and pieces like Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, and the Realms of Arkania trilogy.

These screens come from a bloggy update on the official site, with the team announcing a few new hires – Brazilian comic book artist (who worked on League of Legends) Adriano Batista, and veteran developers Thomas Kronenberg and Michael Flad, each of whom have worked on a fair few RPGs in their time. Gothic 3, Shadows over Riva, Sacred

Check the screens out out above and below. I have to admit, Deathfire: Ruins of Nevermore is starting to look like something to keep an eye on.
