Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls beta news unlikely at BlizzCon

Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls

Diablo 3 fans waiting for some big Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls beta test news at BlizzCon next week will be disappointed based on comments from the Diablo 3 CM team this evening.

According to CM Lylirra it doesn’t sound there any beta announcement despite yesterday’s addition of the Reaper of Souls beta test image appearing in BattleNet profiles. She states, “I don’t believe we’ll have any additional news/updates about an ROS beta at BlizzCon either”.

Booooo! I’m always ready for some big Diablo 3 news at BlizzCon but it looks like Gamescom was the venue for this year’s “big” announcement. Diablo 3 fans will be frustrated but I guess there’s always that new World of Warcraft expansion to enjoy. Actually, that will probably irritate Diablo 3 players even more.

Who knows, they may still surprise us.

So, why is Blizzard giving us Diablo 3 PC players the shaft again?

Lol. How many people actually expected the beta to be announced at Blizzcon?

You should know Blizzard better than that. I couldn’t give a toss about beta anyway cause we saw what good the last one did for D3.

Just looking forward to see what they have on RoS.

I don’t expect anything other than “There will be a beta in the long, distant future”.

Diablo 3 no longer deserves that much attention at Blizzcon. That’s Blizzard. That’s Diablo 3.

If there is to be a beta, I just hope it’s a long open one like POE, so the community can decide if the game feels and plays how it should do and that the designers thoughts match that of the community.

PS: I also realise that could be almost impossible but we’ll see what happens when ROS has been released for 6 months.

That was more down to the f2p nature of Path of Exile, attracting funding from testers etc.

Blizzard is too precious about their storylines and spoilers. If people don’t want to know spoilers then they will avoid them. Having said that, if they were as open as PoE (and many other games) with their beta then cain wouldn’t have been tickled to death by butterflies.
