As expected, Game Director Josh Mosqueira revealed that a ladders season is coming to the game. Ladders was one feature they wanted to add to Reaper of Souls  for launch but he said they needed more time to get them ready for release.

The ladders will play out over seasons with a “ladder-like” aspect to each season. Players will level their characters in specific ladders to acquire special ladder “goodies” which we have to assume will be special legendary items or even cosmetic items.

Ladders will be released within a couple of months according to Josh and says they will be part of a major  content update for the expansion.

The ladders are not the only new feature that’s coming to the game, Blizzard also revealed a new feature called Tiered Rifts. Players will play in Adventure mode then challenged to see “who can get farthest” by clearing a Rift then acquiring a “Greater Rift Token”. Players will then have to clear the Greater Rift as fast as possible in a certain time limit to unlock a “Great Rift Key”. These keys will then increase in ranks with each challenge becoming harder.

More information on these new Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls features will be incoming in the next few weeks according to Blizzard.

Thanks  Diablo: IncGamers.
