Diablo 3 server troubles mean game will be offline in US today

Following continued server issues, Blizzard will be taking Diablo 3‘s US servers offline for maintenance today.
The highly anticipated release has had a very rocky start, hit with multiple error message issues and a long list of server malfunctions as the system struggles under the weight of players trying to log on at the same time.
On day one error messages meant that some people were not able to play, and the problems are ongoing.
Blizzard are trying to sort the problem for good by taking the servers down for two hours between 5am PDT and 7am PDT.
We’re currently working on our review for Diablo 3, but in the meantime you can read our initial hands-on impressions here.
