The letter explains what the team has been up to recently, mainly the revamping on the combat system, which is now being finalised with tweaks and balancing. The coming weeks and months should bring further news on Earthrise including interviews, game lore and screenshots, but the big news was a tentative release date:

“We have made great strides in these last few months, but in order to ensure that we are releasing the game that we’ve promised our fans, we are looking towards the second quarter of 2010 for the launch of Earthrise. When we began working on Earthrise we set out to make a unique and extraordinary game; we don’t want to deliver anything less than that to our dedicated community.”
