Egosoft reveal next in X series

Egosoft and Deep Silver have announced the latest in the X space series: X Rebirth.
For those who remember Elite, the X series takes a similar approach. Trading, space combat, exploration and the building of intergalactic structures are all possible.
In this installment, Egosoft hope to offer “loyal fans and newcomers alike a vast, vivid and extremely detailed universe.” The user interface has been a sticking point for the series in the past, which is perhaps why Rebirth is claiming “it is easier than ever to start with, and remains as deep as fans expect it.”
The previous game in the series, X3: Terran Conflict, had a few bugs on release, but was ultimately patched up into a fine title.
X Rebirth is expected for the PC during the fourth quarter of this year.
