Eidos Montreal to double in size

Reports from Canada suggest that Square Enix is on the verge of a deal with the Quebec government to expand its Eidos Montreal development studio.
Eidos Montreal is, of course, the team behind the recent Deus Ex: Human Revolution (which we rather liked) and the same people who are currently at work on Thief 4.
The plan is to use around $2 million Canadian dollars of government investment to double the size of the developer (taking it to 680 employees). Square’s decision to expand the existing studio, rather than open another one elsewhere, is more than likely related to Quebec’s exceedingly attractive tax credits, which cover around 40% of production costs.
