Frontier have announced the beta release window for the next installment in the Elite: Dangerous Horizons ‘Season’; The Commanders. Update 2.3’s beta is scheduled for the week ending 26 February.
That’s a Sunday, so depending on when you believe the week ‘ends’ there could be some ambiguity there. Luckily, Frontier have clarified in the thread linked above that they mean the week of 20-26 February.
The Commanders (2.3) beta will be open to anybody with Horizons beta access. This update will be the one adding multi-crew functionality to some ships, and the Commander creator that will allow you to customise your character. Frontier say “a number of other improvements and changes” will be in 2.3 as well, and details of the upcoming features will be steadily released between now and mid February.
