In addition to yesterday’s news that Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be coming to Steam (albeit probably still using Games for Windows Live through that platform) and that the console editions will be getting the PC extras as DLC, comes word of a special European retail version of the game.
This retail release will come with a 150 page art book, an original soundtrack and making of DVD, plus a few posters and postcards. Like the digital version of the game, it’ll be available for PC from 24 August.
A ‘Prepare to Die’ edition is being readied for consoles too, so you’ll probably be able to buy a similar package for both Xbox 360 and PS3 when those releases arrive this winter. For now though, it’s exclusive to the PC.
