Fallout TV Series And Movie Planned?

Trademarks filed by Bethesda Softworks for a Fallout TV series and movie have been spotted.Joystiq noticed two trademarks, both involving the Fallout brand. The first was for “entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program,” and the second mentions “motion picture films about a post-nuclear apocalyptic world.”This follows a report on Fallout fansite No Mutants Allowed that Bethesda, in its annual performance report, plans to reclaim the rights to a Fallout MMO from Interplay. To quote the “Legal Proceedings” section: “Interplay recently received notice that Bethesda […] intends to terminate the trademark license agreement between Bethesda and Interplay which was entered into on April 4, 2007 for the development of FALLOUT MMOG. Despite the fact that no formal action is currently pending, Bethesda claims that Interplay is in breach of the trademark license agreement for failure to commence fill[sic] scale development of same by April 4, 2009 and to secure funding for the MMOG.”It appears Bethesda has big plans for the franchise.
