Square Enix has been busy today releasing the Final Fantasy XIV Tokyo Game Show trailer in HD as well as confirming the release date of the beta.
As you can imagine for a Final Fantasy game the trailer incorporates a lot of absolutely gorgeous CGI sequences along with the odd footage of in-game action.
Square Enix has also confirmed to RPG Site that the open beta testing for the MMORPG will launch 1 September at 02:00 GMT, we knew the open beta would arrive in early September but no one predicted the launch being next Wednesday.
Unfortunately it’s only the PC version of FFXIV that launches 22 September with the PS3 version releasing in March 2011 due to memory issues with Sony’s console.
