Fifa 13 remains top of the UK charts for a second consecutive week, holding off the attack of new release Resident Evil 6.

EA Sports’ behemoth suffered a sales dip of 72 per cent week-on-week but still managed to top the chart. Resident Evil 6 sold well enough to make it the fourth biggest release of the year in the UK. The only other new releases in the top ten are NBA 2K13 and Just Dance 4.

Borderlands 2, last week’s number two, dropped one place to number three, while Sleeping Dogs dropped from six to ten.

UK all-format top ten:

1. Fifa 13 (EA)
2. Resident Evil 6 (Capcom)
3. Borderlands 2 (2K Games)
4. Just Dance 4 (Ubisoft)
5. F1 2012 (Codemasters)
6. NBA 2K13 (2K Games)
7. Rocksmith (Ubisoft)
8.  The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda)
9. Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 (Konami)
10. Sleeping Dogs (Square Enix)
