Romancing Aerith is very easy.

Aerith is the classic romance option in Final Fantasy 7, and since Rebirth places an even greater focus on her than the original game, many players will be falling head over heels for her. Thankfully, romancing Aerith is one of the easiest things to do in Rebirth since there are so many opportunities to grow closer to her.

Even though it’s easy to romance Aerith in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you’ll still need to be careful since there are plenty of things that can cause your relationship with other eligible bachelors or bachelorettes to skyrocket. The outcome of the Gold Saucer date is automatically determined by relationship levels, so you’ll need to make sure you’re closer to Aerith than anyone else.

How to Romance Aerith in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

To romance Aerith in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you need to make sure your relationship level is higher with her than anyone else. You can’t manually choose your Gold Saucer date, so the only way to ensure that you go on the Skywheel with Aerith is to have a deeper bond with her than anyone else.

Thankfully, there are a ton of ways to increase your relationship level throughout the game whether that be side quests, dialogue options, Synergy attacks, and other missable things. To check your status with everyone, you can press L1 when not in combat. This will cause icons to pop up over everyone’s heads that show you exactly where you stand with them.

Missable Aerith Relationship Boosts

There are three major missable moments with Aerith during the main storyline of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The first big event is the parade in Junon during Chapter 4. If you score at least 100,000 points by using the best parade formations and nailing the minigame, you’ll get a boost to your relationship with both Aerith and Tifa.

The next big events take place during Chapter 6 at Costa del Sol. Both are super important since they’ll give Aerith a leg up over Tifa, preventing you from accidentally romancing Tifa by accumulating too many points in her favor.

When choosing swimsuits at Costa del Sol, ensure that Cloud and Aerith match. If Cloud wears Wild Surf, then Aerith must wear Pink Mermaid. If Cloud wears Ocean Chocobo, Aerith has to wear Floral Delight. If you choose correctly, you’ll see a notification pop up during the beach scene letting you know that Cloud and Aerith have similar taste in beachwear.

Finally, the last major relationship boost is incredibly obvious. During the major battle at Costa del Sol in Chapter 6, choose to help Aerith and Barret instead of Tifa and Red XIII. This will score you major points with Aerith and Barret. Don’t worry, Tifa and Red won’t think any less of you for choosing the other pair.

If you’re on the right track with Aerith, then she’ll come to Cloud’s room in the middle of the night during the party’s initial visit to the Gold Saucer in Chapter 8 and explore the facility with you. The actual date doesn’t happen until Chapter 12, but if Aerith shows up at your door in Chapter 8, that means she’s leading in relationship points.
