Final Fantasy XIV’s final beta and Early Access dates revealed

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Square Enix have revealed their plans for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn‘s final beta, and Early Access.

The Last Ever Beta will run from 17 August to 19 August, and players who pre-ordered the game can dive right into it when Early Access begins on 24 August. For reference’s sake, the game itself is due out on 27 August.

But wait, there’s more! There will be Veteran Rewards (offering bonuses depending on how long you choose to subscribe for – 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days, with 30 days costing £7.69), a companion iOS app helpfully called Libra Eorzea because that immediately explains what it is and what it does, and a Welcome Back campaign letting those who played the original Final Fantasy XIV play A Realm Reborn for free until 9 September.

A Realm Reborn is the, uh, remake/re-release of Final Fantasy XIV, which was horribly broken on launch. This time around, Square Enix are sure they’ve got it right. They hope. If you’re a fan of paying money for games that aren’t out yet, you can pre-order it (or just find out more information on the various different versions on offer) over on the official site.
