Football Manager 2013 still the boss in final PC chart of the year

The UK PC chart remains a strange place where digital downloading doesn’t exist and everyone is obsessed with The Sims 3. When you take retail data from a country that doesn’t really have all that many shops selling physical PC titles, you end up with charts from a parallel universe.

Here then, is a window into what the PC market would be like if we only counted sales from supermarkets.

It’s no shock to find Football Manager 2013 clinging to the top with the tenacity of Manchester United (in fairness, that might still be the case if digital downloads were included too) and even less of a surprise to see every single Sims 3 expansion pack still in there. There’s a token appearance by Far Cry 3, and Skyrim is still hanging on in there at number 10. A pair of MMOs (WoW’s Pandaria expansion and Guild Wars 2 respectively) make up the rest.

1. FOOTBALL MANAGER 2013
2. THE SIMS 3: SEASONS
3. THE SIMS 3
4. FAR CRY 3
5. THE SIMS 3: SUPERNATURAL
6. THE SIMS 3: PETS
7. GUILD WARS 2
8. WORLD OF WARCRAFT: MISTS OF PANDARIA
9. THE SIMS 3: GENERATIONS
10. THE ELDER SCROLLS V: SKYRIM
