Free Add-On Coming To East India Company

Paradox Interactive and Nitro Games have announced a free “Designer’s Cut” update for East India Company. The add-on packs plenty of stuff culled from ideas had by the developers and taken from the community. Expect new port views, the ability to fight tactical battles “on an island environment, providing completely new tactical elements,” two new multiplayer modes named Beehive and Breakthrough, history graphs to track long-term progress, and lots more.”Some features were chosen from the ideas presented to us by the East India Company community,” said Kim Soares, lead designer on East India Company. “This kind of feedback from the active players is invaluable, as they have spent hundreds of hours playing our game and know it inside and out.”Again, this update is completely free and should be available for download from 27 October. If you don’t have East India Company, then check out John Robertson’s excellent review elsewhere on IncGamers, and work out for yourself whether these updates are likely to fix the problems noted there.
