To mark the occasion, Sony is rewarding all current players of Free Realms with a limited edition in-game T shirt, and the lucky one-millionth player will receive a unique in-game space suit, 10,000 Station Cash and a lifetime membership to the game.

“The excitement surrounding Free Realms, and the positive response the game has already received, is overwhelming,” said John Smedley, president of Sony Online Entertainment. “To achieve this milestone so rapidly speaks to the quality and the fun gameplay experience Free Realms offers to players of all ages.”

999,999 players will also get an in-game shirt for their pets and an additional 200 Station Cash to use on purchases in the game.

Free Realms launched on 28 April for the PC and is due to be available on the PS3, although no official date has been given. See our interview with Free Realms’ art director Sebastian Strzalkowski to find out more about the game.
