Frogster Secures More Territories For Runes Of Magic

Berlin publisher Frogster has secured the rights to publish all further European language versions of Runes of Magic in Europe. This means the publisher now holds the Korean license and all European licenses with the exception of Turkey. In addition, Frogster also now holds the exclusive rights to deliver the Spanish language versions for the USA and Canada. It seems the German retail version of Runes of Magic has been performing well, knocking World of Warcraft off the top spot of the chart for games under €28 EUR.“Although Runes of Magic is available worldwide as a free download, we have been able to create a very successful boxed product for the German-speaking market by assembling an attractive item and collector package,” Frogster’s Rolf Klöppel told German industry mag GamesMarkt.“Within incredibly short time we have managed to create a hype around Runes of Magic which is reflected by having 700,000 registered players already. Following on from the successful online marketing, we are now experiencing a strong impact on the retail market.”Sign up for the free-to-play MMO here. Check out our preview here.
