Game of Thrones: Genesis – a dance with screenshots

On the same day as George RR Martin’s long, long, LONG awaited “A Dance With Dragons” is released to continue the book series, Cyanide have opted to release more screenshots from A Game of Thrones: Genesis.
In theory, that’s a smart idea. But in practice it’s possible that all the Song of Ice and Fire fans are too busy reading to look at images from a videogame. Unless of course they happen to be waiting for it to show up in the post (hurry up, postie!)
Anyway, if you’ve been following this game at all you’ll know that it looks like Cyanide have chosen to jump around the series timeline a little bit to find all the best battles prior-and-up-to the events of the first book, “A Game of Thrones”. It also appears the title is going in a solidly RTS direction, although with the added interest of backstabbing units like spies and decoys (as well as the promise that you can beat people through ways other than military means).
We’ll see how that works when it’s released on the PC … err … when it’s finished (probably later this year).
