GameStop offers gift cards in Deus Ex debacle

GameStop is rolling out some damage-control measures after the PR disaster of, first, removing OnLive coupons from PC copies of Deus Ex: Revolution and then removing the PC version from the shelves altogether.
If you ordered a PC version of the game through GameStop you should soon be receiving an email, detailing your entitlement to a $50 GameStop gift card and a ‘Buy 2 Get 1 Free’ pre-owned purchase. People who wandered into the store and managed to pick up a PC copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution before it was pulled, I think you’re out of luck (unless GameStop happens to know your email address).
To claim your apology gift card, you’ll need to bring a copy of the email and your receipt for Deus Ex to a nearby GameStop store.
“We regret the events surrounding this title release,” the email states.
Just in case we haven’t plugged it enough yet, here’s the IncGamers review of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Spoiler: it gets a good score.
