Gearbox: Borderlands 2 Is A No-Brainer

Gearbox’s creative director, Mike Neumann, has spoken about the possibility of a Borderlands sequel.

While talking to VG247, Neumann initially laughed at the question of a possible follow-up, then confirmed that the idea had occurred to developers, and is quite likely due to the game’s popularity so far:

“Everyone here loves the franchise, and it seems like the public is really coming back with praise and love. So yeah, if everything makes sense, Borderlands 2 seems like a no-brainer to me.”

He also confirmed that Gearbox is working on DLC for the first game right now. The first instalment, “The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned“ will be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on 24 November, with the PC DLC following later. No date has yet been given.
